Caffeine

Caffeine is a purine alkaloid, naturally occuring in tea, coffee, guarana and cola nuts. Consumable in many ways, it stimulates cardiac activity, metabolism and respiration. Process-accompanying control of caffeine content during production is important for consistent quality, especially for caffeine-reduced or caffeine-free beverages.
